International Children's Winter Games (ICWG) comes to Kelowna,BC Canada

The City of Kelowna,BC Canada and its residents are proud to host this years International Children's Winter Games (ICWG) event from January 26 - 31, 2011. Children from all over the world will compete in sporting events such as: Hockey, Snowboarding, Speed Skating, Figure Skating Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing and Curling. Lots of energy in and around the city right now!

Two figure skaters from Iceland were the first to arrive in Kelowna ahead of the International Children's Winter Games (ICWG), which gets underway Wednesday.
Gunnarsdottir says the two figure skaters, Julia Gretarsdottir, 15, and Thuridur Bjorgvinsdottir, 13, have been eagerly anticipating the games.
ICWG Kelowna organizing chair Heather Schneider says Kelowna seems to be looking forward to the games.
