Boil Water Notice for Glenmore Neighbourhoods

A boil water notice has been issued for all residents within the Glenmore water service area.  The affected neighbourhoods include the following: Wilden, Quail Ridge, UBCO, Dry Valley and Airport areas. The Kelowna International Airport terminal and McKinley Landing area have not affected by this recent notice. The Glenmore-Ellison Improvement District (G.E.I.D.) is stating that recent sampling results have indicated that the water quality has deteriorated, and there is an increased health risk.

Boil your water as a precaution for at least one minute and then refrigerate it in a covered container.  Also, make sure you wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly and brush your teeth using boiled water as well.  As an alternative you may also want to consider purchasing bottled or distilled water while the notice is still in effect.

Take care and be sure and boil your water as it's not worth the risk!

Sincerely,

Jason Neumann
