Okanagan Winery Ex Nihilo has won awards for its Riesling – Gold Medal Winner at the “2009 Riesling du Monde,” and its Merlot – first place at the 2008 People’s Choice Awards. Ex Nihilo is most famous for teaming up with legendary rock band Rolling Stones in producing an original “Sympathy for the Devil” Ice Wine, which will be made available in limited quantities for the Central Okanagan Wine Festival.
This relative new winery has a big heart for giving back to those who need help in Kelowna and Lake Country. One dollar from every bottle sold at the winery will go to local food banks which are in desperate need of food and supplies. Demand has been very high for the services provided by the food banks.
